The celebrations continue for GCSE day!

This morning our GCSE Class of 2024 celebrated some incredible results. In total, 18% of the cohort achieved the very top grades of 9-7 (A* and A in old money!), 74% achieved a grade 4+ in both English and Maths, and 55% earned a grade 5+ strong pass in English and Maths.

Speaking of her delight at the results, Yvonne Weston, Executive Headteacher said:

“Congratulations to all of our students who have achieved these outstanding results today. We are very proud of each and every one of them and celebrate their hard work, determination and resilience, as well as the excellent grades that they have secured.

This cohort joined us in Year 7 when they faced unprecedented disruption due to the pandemic, however, their determination to work hard and to succeed over the past 5 years has paid off! The students' results are a testament to their academic ability but also their commitment to excellence, even in the face of challenges. We recognise and appreciate the vital role that parents, carers and our dedicated staff have played in supporting our students to reach their full potential. As our students move into their next exciting chapter, we wish them all the very best of luck and we are confident that they will continue to shine!”
