Our new Duke of Edinburgh's Award cohort were hard at work during Activities Week!
The team spent day 1 learning how to read maps, give grid references and cooking on gas stoves. On day 2, students learned how to use a compass and then went on a walk as one big group around Ashington. The group finished the day off by putting up and taking down tents. During day 3, all of their hard work was put to practice when our students took the lead in their first practise expedition, putting their navigational skills to the test on a trip to Bolam Lake!
Well done!
