Following our win at last year's event, we were delighted to host the annual NELT Debate Competition yesterday afternoon.
We welcomed students and staff from the six other secondary schools within NELT and hosted a brilliant day where students debated some weighty topics. Eden, Will and Emma did a fantastic job of representing our school as Speaker, Chair and Questioner. Eden received a special mention from the judges for doing such an amazing job at responding during an intense questioning session from Teesdale School following her speech.
A big thank you to staff who organised the event and our catering team for providing a lovely spread for our visitors. Roll on next year's debate!
